Athens Foods® Introduces Elegant 4” Fillo Tart Shell
New Fully-Baked Fill and Serve Tart Shells Turn High Volume into High Profit
Cleveland, Ohio – Athens Foods®, the world’s largest producer of fillo dough and fillo dough products, introduces new 4” Fillo Tart Shells. Made from layers of Athens Fillo Dough™ lightly coated with vegetable shortening, these fully baked shells are elegantly shaped into a popular tart shell design and size. With their distinctive appearance and delicate flakiness, operators can create impressive plate presentations for their signature appetizers, salads and desserts.
Each tart shell holds approximately four ounces of filling and can be used for upscale fillings such as mushrooms and pine nuts and marinated shrimp to value-added fillings such as Swedish meatballs, ham salad, fresh fruit and guacamole. Fillo Tart Shells make excellent desserts too with delicious fillings such as Bavarian cream, fudge, cheesecake, sherbet, ambrosia and crème brulee. Athens Fillo Tart Shells can be filled and rebaked.
