Description
Hot, marinated steak and cool tzatziki sauce join forces with crunchy Phyllo Shells in these meaty appetizers.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon dried sweet basil, crushed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 5 ounces round steak, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons cucumber, peeled, seeded and grated
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons sour cream
- 1 teaspoon onion, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
- 1 package (15 count) Athens® Phyllo Shells
Directions
To make marinade, in a small bowl, combine oil, lemon juice, garlic and spices. Toss tightly with steak. Chill for 1 hour. To make tzatziki sauce, in a small bowl, combine cucumber, yogurt, sour cream, onion, garlic and dill. Mix well. Chill for at least 1 hour. In a small skillet, sauté steak for 2-3 minutes and drain. Place 1 tablespoon of steak into each phyllo shell. Top with 1 teaspoon of tzatziki sauce. Serve immediately.
