Description
It’s easy to make Thanksgiving appetizers that can go well with other items on your holiday menu. Compliment your green beans, spiced smoked ham and maple-glazed turkey with a wide range of easy-to-make Thanksgiving appetizers that will satisfy guests’ diverse tastes.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp. canola oil
- 3/4 cup sweet potatoes, cooked, mashed
- 1 tsp. butter
- 2 tsp. milk
- 2 tsp. pancake syrup
- Salt to taste
- 1 package (15 count) Athens® Graham Cracker Flavor or Traditional Phyllo Shells
- 2 tablespoons ground walnuts, for garnish
- Alternate garnish:
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup julienne-cut onions
Directions
In small bowl, combine all ingredients except shells and walnuts. Whip until smooth.
Spoon or pipe about 2 tablespoons of filling into each Phyllo Shell. Garnish with ground walnuts.
Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes. Serve warm.
For alternate garnish: In a small skillet, heat oil over medium heat and slowly sauté onions until fully caramelized and dark brown – about 5 minutes.
