What can be better than the tang of stout combined with the sharpness of cheddar? Stout combined with cheddar in a phyllo shell and topped with bacon!
4 slices precooked bacon
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup stout
1 1/4 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 tablespoon dry ranch salad dressing mix
2 packages (15 count, each) Athens® Phyllo Shells
1 green onion, for garnish
Heat bacon in microwave 30 seconds or until crisp. Crumble bacon and set aside. In a medium bowl, using an electric mixer, mix together cream cheese and stout until completely incorporated and smooth. Mix in cheddar and ranch dressing until combined. Pipe or spoon into shells. top with crumbled bacon. Garnish and green onion slices.
