Description
Easy-to-make mini pies full of sweet, fruity flavor. Customize to your liking by using apples or pears, nuts or raisins, and any flavor of our phyllo shells.
Ingredients
- 2 peeled, cored and finely chopped Granny Smith apples
- 1 1/2 cup finely chopped walnuts
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 packages (15 count, each) Athens® Phyllo Shells, Graham Cracker Flavored Phyllo Shells, or Chocolate Flavored Phyllo Shells
- 1 1/2 cup thawed whipped topping, for garnish
Directions
In a medium skillet, sauté apples, walnuts, brown sugar and butter over low heat until apples are tender, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and stir in cinnamon. Cool slightly and spoon 1 tablespoon of apple mixture into each phyllo shell. Garnish with whipped topping. Serve immediately.

Tips
- For a twist, sub in Bartlett pears for the Granny Smith apples.
